Lauren-Marie Kennedy is a vegan-feminist researcher and Creative with Cause, blending art and activism to challenge speciesist, patriarchal, and anthropocentric worldviews. With an MRes in Fine Art from the University of Dundee, she’s currently pursuing a PhD at the Open University in collaboration with The Vegan Society, exploring the history of Britain’s vegan movement.

Her interdisciplinary practice - spanning digital collage, poetry, and performance - frequently employs satire and humour, not to dilute the message, but to disarm defensiveness and invite deeper reflection.

Increasingly rooted in Sociology, Lauren-Marie’s research draws from Critical Animal Studies, media and gender theory, literature, spirituality, and intersectionality. Her work is informed by a distinctly Scottish perspective and a commitment to non-traditional, socially engaged scholarship.
Open to collaboration on projects aligned with these values.
