Lauren-Marie Kennedy is a vegan-feminist researcher who considers herself a Creative with Cause! She holds a Master of Research (MRes) in Fine Art from the University of Dundee and is soon to begin a PhD exploring veganism in the UK.

Her work spans digital collage, poetry, and performance, translating complex ideas into emotionally resonant, accessible pieces that provoke critical thought. Blending art and academia, Lauren-Marie confronts speciesist, patriarchal, and anthropocentric worldviews through a distinctly vegan-feminist lens - one increasingly informed by her Scottish identity. Her non-traditional practice reflects her non-traditional standpoint, challenging academic norms and reclaiming creativity as a powerful tool for accessible, socially engaged scholarship.

Satire and humour are deliberately woven into her work - not to dilute the message, but to disarm defensiveness, disrupt comfort, and invite deeper reflection from those who might otherwise turn away.

Though trained in Fine Art, Lauren-Marie is increasingly immersed in Sociology. Her research interests in relation to Critical Animal Studies include: literature and language, media studies, gender studies, spirituality/witchcraft, and intersectionality. She is always open to meaningful collaborations on projects aligned with these values.
